After an Instacare visit, Emergency room, 4 IVs, 2 CT scans, an MRI and a biopsy, we are still waiting for answers. It is determined that I have a tumor about 2 in diameter (5cm) starting near the T5-T7 of my Thoracic Spine. The discovery was brought on by significant pain that started 5:30 am Sunday morning as was off and on until Monday evening when I ended up at the Instacare and then the ER. After several days of testing and going back and forth to the hospital...the news so far is good. We are awaiting final pathology report from the biopsy but the preliminary diagnosis is that is a benign tumor meaning it does not look cancerous. YEA! What a blessing that it is not. As far as we know it seems to be a nerve sheath tumor but we are not entirely sure what that entails for the future. We are thrilled to get good news today and prepare for the next step which is most likely surgery. We are so grateful for the thoughts and prayers offered in Scott and my behalf. It has been a rough week with all this news about me and with it being finals week for Scott but we have seen the Lords hand in this experience. Scott has been so supportive even while trying to keep his head on straight dealing with this and finals. My mom has been an angel helping us run back and forth to hospitals, Dr. appointments, getting meals and make sure we are taken care of. Colleen also brought in a great dinner that we so appreciated. Our families are being so sweet and supportive by calling often to make sure everything is OK.
The many many prayers have been such a blessing by making tests and doctor visits happen so quickly as well as getting the good news today! We hope for the final diagnostic report by Monday and hopefully get this over with soon. We want to give a big thank you to everyone! We feel your love and support!
