The Ants Ate Our Brownies

I am quite a fanatic when it comes the cleanliness of our kitchen so much to my dismay, spring has sprung and the ants are in. Scott and I got home yesterday evening, left to go work out, then come home to discover the horror. The ants had gotten to the sealed container of brownies and were all over the counter! To say the least, I was totally mortified. I set the container outside while I sucked up as many as I could with the vacuum, then I dumped the brownies in the dumpster. The past few days have been a continuous cycle of sucking and sanitizing about 13,000 times. By last night, I had just about had it with the ants. I took an emergency trip (yes emergency) to the store to pick up ant bait to place under the oven and throughout the kitchen. It seems to be working because I only had to suck up 1 this morning. Victory! I may be a little eccentric in thinking that the ants in our kitchen may be the death of me...but how dare they eat our brownies! I guess ill have to make some more =)
