Snow Shoeing

On New Years day we decided to go snow shoeing up big Cottonwood Canyon on a trail to Lake Blanche. We didn't make it to the lake but it was about 2.5 hours round trip. It was almost dark by the time we reached one of the summits so we decided to turn around. We only had a small crank flashlight that we were so glad to have on the way down. (we almost didn't take it) It was pretty advantageous of us to start so late...but if you know us...that's pretty typical. It was really fun though and a great work out. We hope to go again when its snows a lot and next time we will take head lamps =)
