Its begining to look a lot like CHRISTMAS

Well...its that time of year that I absolutely LOVE!!! I was excited to get all our Christmas decorations out again and fill our apartments with glitter and lights. Scott and I had an amazing first Christmas together last year and I know this one will be even greater. It has been tradition to decorate the day after Thanksgiving and crank up the Christmas music! So, on Friday night we went and picked out our beautiful real Christmas tree. Its such a fun tradition to go pick one out together, load it in the truck and watch Scott carry it in( hehe) I went to grab my camera and he had carried it all he way in by the time I was heading back out. I would have helped him =) Even setting up for Christmas is so exciting for me. I love walking into our home now and seeing all the beautiful lights, decorations and smelling the tree. Growing up, decorating was such a big ordeal and it was so fun to do it with my Mom. Now its Scott and I get to decorate our own place and its a blast and I look forward to it every year! Ahhhhh its so great!! the Let the festivities begin!!!

Before all the Christmas decorating fun, we had a great Thanksgiving. This year is was the year to spend with the Hanks but a few weeks ago we had a "pre-Thanksgiving" with some of the Barson family too. Two Thanksgiving dinners was great!

Thanksgiving day started out with Scott and I working out at our gym. We ate a small/late breakfast and got ready to eat LOTS of food. The dinner consisted of yummy turkey, stuffing, potatoes, rolls, salad, jello, pies and YAMS! This year, I fell in love with yams. YUM! All in all it was a great dinner. After dinner we tied a quilt to donate to a child at primary children's hospital. We got it done so fast working together and it was such a great service project for Thanksgiving. That afternoon, the whole family got to go see a movie called Planet 51. It was a silly kids show but its always fun to go to the movies. After that some of us went down to play basketball at the church building and drive Scott's remote control car around and just play. It was good to be active after all that food, especially since we were no where near done eating! Thanks for a great Thanksgiving and for the opportunity to spend it with family. I'm grateful we have an extra special opportunity to reflect on the wonderful things we have in our lives! This is the most wonderful time of year! =)
