Scott's B-Day and St. George

On the 28th of August we celebrated Scott's birthday. I just love birthdays and growing up they have always been a very special day. I was so excited for my birthday on the 15 then I could hardly wait until his. I was excited to give him kind of a funny gift; I had a shirt made for him saying "My skis are fatter that your are" with a silhouette of him doing an iron cross on the back. He has wanted a shirt like that for a while so it was fun to give it to him. He got some fat skis for Christmas last year that are awesome for powder skiing. I love to celebrate him on his birthday and he got some other fun things and it was a fun day. That night we left for St. George to spend the weekend. A lot of the way there and the whole way home we read a book called "Between a rock and a hard place" which is such an awesome book and made the time go by really fast. Its so fun to read a book together and we both get so into it. We went out to dinner that night when we got there at the Pizza Factory. Saturday we went for a bike ride in the middle of the desert pretty much. It was a fun, but very hot bike ride. For a moment, I thought I might die of heat and exhaustion but we made it to the top. We also hit up a paved trail for a while and the downhills of that were nice breathers. We took a drive through Snow Canyon and went the the dunes out there and filled our shoes with sand. That evening was great to sit by the pool and read and take naps. That's a great vacation. On Sunday we went to church right across from the temple so we took some photos. We also went to see the Brigham Young summer home and it was great to learn of the history there and was a great Sunday activity. On the way home we stopped by to see our friends baby and got pulled over shortly thereafter. We REALLY did not realize it was a construction zone. Oops! It was a blessing we did not get a ticket so we were still happy about a great weekend trip. Happy Birthday to my wonderful husband. He is truly the best.
