We recently got back from a wonderful trip to Lake Powell! We experienced all kinds of weather; hot hot sun, rain, wind and beautiful sunsets. We wake boarded, water skied, hiked, relaxed and enjoyed the spectacular views. The first day we got there, we set up camp on a beach in Halls Creek Bay and went out on the beautiful water to ski and wake board. That night we had one of the most beautiful sunsets we had every seen. The next day we moved camp down the lake and found an awesome sandy beach. We made sand castles and played in the water there at night. This trip we hiked up Hole in the Rock ,but should have been called canyon in the rock, where the pioneers came down with wagons, children, horses and supplies. Its amazing they made it down those rock cliffs without injury. We also hiked to petroglyphs and a map of Southern Utah that was drawn on the face of a rock many many(means allot) years ago. Its so fun to explore the beautiful canyons and be on such amazing water. The water in the morning at Powell is like glass and there is no feeling in the world like gliding on such smooth water. Every morning we wake first thing to get that perfect water. Our last day there was my Birthday so we got to celebrate it on the Lake which was so fun. Unfortunately we had to come home but we look forward for a great trip next year!
