Burley Fair and Ro-de-o

Classic silly face! It makes me laugh just thinking of this picture! We loved having Landon with us.
The Burley Fair: Going to the Rodeo, eating lots of maple bars, 4-H, snow cones, more treats, eating the traditional hamburgers, the livestock auction, and all in all a great time. We missed Scott's parents this year but went in their honor!
This was Landon's reaction to the mooing cows! That was a new sound.
The Burley Rodeo is so much fun. We think its the best one.
We loved having Kathie, Lauren and Katelyn with us at the rodeo. They are so sweet to let us stay with them and we look forward to it every year. Now they are even going to come to the rodeo every year. Whahoo!
We stopped by Scott's grandparents old house in Burley on the way home and the people that live there were so nice to let us walk around the inside and around the farm area. They wanted to hear stories about this house and learn of its history. I loved that Scott was able to show me all the places he played at as a kid. A lot of fun memories were made here and it was a special to take Landon to the house. It was a wonderful trip!

Aww, I love the picture of the house at the end. SOOOOO many good memories here! I'm sad that I'm now WAY too far away to visit Burley. I should have gone when I had the chance! I think the last time I went was the Thanksgiving right before Jake and I were engaged (2004). I'm glad he got to go with me. The night before we were married was the night that Grandma Hanks came down to SLC for surgery and never returned to Burley. Burley will always have a very special place in my heart.
