Moving Day

Going from old apartment to new compartment...

Saturday was the big moving day. We appreciated all the help from Scott's parents, Heather and Josh and Tracy and Andrew. Everyone was so fast loading and unloading that we got it done in just a few hours. My Mom came throughout the week get preliminary boxes unloading and of coarse decorating done since she would be out of commission sue to surgery on the big day. Thanks Mom! Scott and I took up loads all week which helped make moving a smooth experience. We got tons of snow that evening so we lucked out that the only thing we had to do in the snow was take the empty boxes to the dumpster. Thank you everyone for all your help.
Saying good bye to our first home together was sad but we have so many fun memories to take with us. We had quite a few adventures there and will always look back and laugh at the experiences we had such as...
Old Faithful fountain in the bathroom sink shooting to the ceiling which was totally hillarous. Sleeping in the family room on our mattress for about a week because of the strange noises in the ceiling. Watching movies together every weekend with the speakers turned up loud. Ants eating our brownies and infesting the kitchen. Calling 911 at 1:00 am because someone was throwing fireworks from a balcony. Not turning on the air conditioning all summer. Window open or closed? Making breakfast together on Saturday mornings. Driving to Borders to get the internet since we didnt have it. These are fun memories that will always be a part of our history.

The new compartment ...
New adventures thus far:
Wow...this place is pretty small (we call it our compartment). Sticky Sticky Sticky! We seemed to have something spill and make everything sticky! We are the dishwashers since there isnt one. It's only for a short time so we decided we could live with that. No dryer either but at least we have our washing machine. That's what clothes lines are for right? Utilities are free. Horray for heat!
We are excited for the new adventures that await us here and we are so excited to have such a short commute now. This will be a great experience.
