Scott's 27th Birthday

We celebrated Scott's 27th birthday on Saturday and had a really fun day together. We got to sleep in and had his favorite breakfast of homemade waffles and an orange juice smoothie. He wanted to wait to open his presents until later that night to span out the fun but I did give him the GIANT birthday card I made then we got ready for the rest of a fun day.

Scott decided he wanted to spend the afternoon wheeling up American Fork Canyon to Forest Lake and find the tree we carved are names in last year! It had recently rained so we were wheeling in huge mud puddles and we had a blast getting very muddy and exploring some trails we hadn't been on yet leading to the back side of Snowbird. We would have stayed later but we both got hungry so decided to continue the celebrations at our next activity. On our way home we headed to his parents for a visit and he got a fun gift that he gets to shop for! =) We also stopped at my parents to unwrap a new cool new helmet that will be put to excellent use!

I could hardly wait for Scott to open presents so I was excited he decided he would open them before we went out to eat. I sang happy birthday, he opened presents and was surprised with some new bike shorts with padding which he has been wanting and a new ipod touch. I was SO excited about this gift because his ipod went through the wash over a year ago and he has wanted one ever since. I actually succeeded on surprising him with gifts this year and he loved them so I was thrilled! After a delicious dinner at Red Robin and a free birthday desert, we used a gift card for a"real theatre" at the District to see the movie Inception and had a great time.

I absolutely love birthdays and was so excited to dedicate an entire day celebrating my wonderful hubby! Happy Birthday Scott!

I did my best decorating this cake with out any of the cake decorating tools. I wrote a few of his favorite things around the cake like wake boarding, skiing, biking, wheeling and he wanted me to add Katie to his favorite things....so of course I did.
