Lake Powell 2010

We have arrived in paradise...
Lake Powell is never short of spectacular! We had a wonderful time at Powell this year with great water and many adventures. There is no place on earth like Lake Powell and we absolutely love going. Scott has grown up going to Lake Powell and I have been exposed and I'm never turning back. We are definitely going to carry on the tradition with our kids and our own boat someday. Just to name a few of our favorite things ...smooth water, wake boarding, skiing, wake skating, hiking to fossil cave, tropical storms, seeing a once in a lifetime waterfall after the flash flood storm, cruising through the waves during the storm and watching waves like never before, Scott holding on to the bimini for dear life during the crazy wind and rain from this same storm, putting up the Conestoga, taking down the Conestoga, setting up camp, sitting around the fire, spending all day on the boat, taking pictures, going to see the bridge at Hite, enjoying the incredible starry sky, sleeping on the boat, hiking to Indian ruins in forgotten canyon, and most of all pure happiness

Scott and his Dad setting up camp. Let the fun begin!

The bridge at Hite

Fossil Cave

Scott swam out to stand on this rock in the middle of the lake

A flash flood storm came in fast so we were crusing back to camp. Scott was holding on to the biminy while being pelted by rain. It felt like we were on the oceon in the middle of a storm. Pretty cool!
Wow...what a storm!

This amazing flash flood water was amazing and we we were so lucky to see it!

Pirate Scottie

I was laughing so hard watching him ride his wake skate on his stomach! now that's a new way to try it!

On our way out. Thanks to the Hanks for a wonderful trip!
