Burley Fair and Rodeo

We spent a fun weekend in Burley and Twin falls Idaho this weekend continuing the Hanks family tradition of attending the Cassia County fair and rodeo in Burley. Scott's dad Gordon grew up on a farm in Burley Idaho so while Scott was growing up they spent a lot of time there. The Hanks have continued going to the fair and Scott and I both look forward to it every year. It's extra fun because we get to stay with my sweet sister Kathie, her husband Mike and Lauren and Katelyn in Twin Falls and its so fun to see them. We got to go out to dinner with them Friday to a yummy Buffalo Wings place. We all laughed so hard as Scott sweat while eating the "mild" wings. He is so funny about spicy food so we decided that we will get him a sweat band next year. We all stayed up until almost 3:00am chatting and laughing with Kathie and Mike and had a great time being together.

Saturday we hit the fair with Colleen and Gordon and watched livestock auction, ate lots of maple donuts (the best on this earth), enjoyed walking around seeing all the 4-H projects, and eating, eating, and eating some more. Its such a quaint small town fair but we love it. I love that its something I get to do with Scott that is a tradition from his childhood when he spent time with his grandparents and family in Burley. We love the Burley fair!

We spent the afternoon seeing a beautiful waterfall with Kathie, Mike and the girls, playing in their go cart, chatting and ordered pizza. It was so fun to be with them! To end the evening we headed back to Burley and had a great time as always with the Hanks at the Rodeo! We had to get a few more maple bars and a snow cone on the way out of course. We had a great time in the great state of Idaho!
