I got a BIKE!!! Scott and I were so excited to find one this weekend since we have been wanting to get one for a
really long time so we could go on bike rides together. Saturday morning we went to an
REI "garage sale" early hoping to find one but they use a lottery system for this sale so we got there at 8:30 to get a card then waited anxiously not knowing when they would call our card number. Scott and I spotted the bike we wanted and hoped no one would take it. We watched about 150 people go in before us and kept our eyes on the bike and watching people look at it the entire time feeling so nervous. We had waited for this sale since last year hoping to find one so after much anticipation, we finally got in and got the bike for a
SCREAMIN deal!!!
We went for a bike ride that afternoon up Butterfield Canyon and had a blast. It rained lightly the whole way up and poured on the way down. We both were laughing all the way while being sprayed with water from the tires, getting soaked from head to toes and freezing but enjoying every minute of it. Scott had to sit on a floor mat on the way home because he was super muddy too. What an adventure!

This does not even do it justice...we were drenched and he is quite muddy!
Sunday evening we went for a leisurely ride and it was beautiful. We are so excited that now we can go on rides together every night...this is the greatest thing ever! Moab here we come...

How exciting!!!!! I am so glad you got it! Thanks for calling to see if we need anything. That was so sweet of you! I hope you have many fun bike rides together. By the way... you should go buy a book that has a description and everything else you need to know about mountain biking trails in Utah. I cannot find ours right now but trust me... it is worth the $6.00 or whatever we payed for it. You can buy it at REI or Barnes and Noble. Happy Riding!
Oh I'm so excited for you! Andrew will be trying even harder now that he knows you have one. I'm sorry for not texting you back the other day! My sister and her kids were staying with us, which was so fun, but a little crazy. We would have loved to go with you guys! I'm glad you got such a good deal and had a fun weekend!
