Both of our families had their "Christmas Eve" parties a week before Christmas and they both were a blast. This year we spent the real Christmas eve with my parents. My Mom ordered Texas Roadhouse for dinner which we ate it at there home and had such a fun night together. It was truly an enjoyable evening. Christmas day we celebrated our Christmas morning together and open our presents. Whoever sets up presents first on Christmas Eve covers the gifts up with a blanket so the other one of us doesn't see while we set up.Its really a surprise for both of us in the morning and its so fun. I crank up the Christmas Music and we both had wonderful surprises.
We got to visit both families that afternoon, ate lots of food, Missed the Ryan and Heather and Kathie and Mike and all there kids who are out of state, watched elf, played with nieces and nephews, went to see the movie Invictus, played ping pong, and had a wonderful Christmas day with family. What a great year!
Scott and I are so grateful for this time of year we have to remember the true meaning of Christmas. What a great opportunity to remember our Savior, find opportunities to serve him and the wonderful feelings of true joy and happiness that the season brings. We are truly thankful for service of others and the love and compassion that we have felt this year.
